At that moment, I never imagined that soon I would embark on the path of moving the office and going to work on a sailboat.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Going to Work on a Sailboat: a Project that Starts by Chance<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Just over a year ago, I decided to take on a new challenge and return to working as a freelancer in the fields of IT and sailing. It all started by selecting services that allowed me to work remotely, thus maintaining a certain mobility. <\/p>\n<p>Last summer was the first test: 2 months in the Mediterranean aboard a sailboat with friends and acquaintances. Besides performing the usual tasks on the boat, I managed to work on the sailboat by carving out time to continue the work for my clients back &#8220;home.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yamana.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/710_laptop_DSC01496.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3654\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yamana.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/710_laptop_DSC01496.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"710\" height=\"473\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.yamana.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/710_laptop_DSC01496.jpg 710w, https:\/\/www.yamana.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/710_laptop_DSC01496-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.yamana.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/710_laptop_DSC01496-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 710px) 100vw, 710px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Essentially, I was active 24\/7, but the view from my &#8220;office&#8221; was priceless and a balm for the mind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\"> <script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- Yamana right column -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2657041963581626\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"9874150793\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Second Test<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Winter arrives. I go to lend a hand at the Swiss Ski School in Bosco Gurin, where I handle logistics, course organization, and private lessons, as well as managing equipment rentals. It&#8217;s a job that allows me to reconnect with people I had lost touch with and meet new ones.<br \/>\nAnd to acquire new clients for my professional activity!<br \/>\nThe laptop is always in my backpack and follows me everywhere: even this winter, I manage to carry out various projects for clients working remotely.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The winter experience was more than positive, so much so that the idea of going to work on a sailboat and managing work remotely doesn&#8217;t seem so difficult to achieve!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\"> <script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- Yamana right column -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2657041963581626\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"9874150793\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Third Time&#8217;s the Charm<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A couple of weeks after the ski school closed, a guy contacted me through a nautical site. He asked if I was interested in helping transfer his sailboat from New Zealand to Cape Town, passing through Darwin, Cocos Keeling, and Mauritius. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My response was spontaneous: <em>&#8220;Why not? Give me some more details&#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yamana.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/710_NZ-to-SA.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3673\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yamana.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/710_NZ-to-SA.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"710\" height=\"430\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.yamana.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/710_NZ-to-SA.jpg 710w, https:\/\/www.yamana.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/710_NZ-to-SA-600x363.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.yamana.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/710_NZ-to-SA-300x182.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 710px) 100vw, 710px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The proposed conditions would allow me to continue client work from the boat,<\/strong> but that&#8217;s not all.
